Pamoja Gender & Youth Initiative is a nongovernmental Organization (NGO) that advocates for and support youth as well as women participation in decision making and development processes. 
The organization works in partnership with civil society organizations, private sectors and government to champion youth and women empowerment through trainings, awareness raising, rights championing, reconstruction, recovery and development aid and services. PAGEYI endeavors to work with communities and other humanitarian agencies towards saving and preserving lives and restoring dignity to the people. Where the opportunity arises PAGEYI seeks to initiate and establish sustained rehabilitation and reconstruction programs.

Geographical Area of Operation

Pamoja Gender & Youth Initiative will engage in sustainable development programmes in the Kenya & Somalia region. The programmes with the host communities will focus on strengthening their livelihood security as a means of enabling longer term sustainable development and in the context of the Millennium Development Goals.

Target Stakeholders

Pamoja Gender and Youth Initiative will in the next five years continue to focus its activities and resources working with the following target stakeholders:

  • Refugees
  • Local hosts/nationals in disadvantaged communities
  • Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)
  • Local Government
